Sundays starting Sept 20: 11am
1st & 3rd at the Arbutus Site
2nd & 4th at the Cedar Hill X Site
RESERVE A SEAT
One of the elements of worship that many are missing is the live music component. Congregational singing however, is considered one of the high risk activities and we have been told by Dr Henry that we cannot engage in such for the foreseeable future. However, we can still enjoy the music that is created by our own musicians and musical guests following strict guidelines and protocols,
Each Sunday we will be offering a 30 min concert of music related to the theme of the month for folks to enjoy and nurture their soul. You must register in advance to attend and there is a maximum. Seating will be arranged to observe physical distancing between individuals/ family groups. Masks must be worn throughout the concerts and no singing will be allowed. If you require childcare, there will be a box to tick when you register and arrangements will be made for childcare onsite. You will be sent an email to confirm your registration. There will be NO DROP IN PERMITTED for the concerts in order to observe the max number that can be accommodated and to provide contact tracing should the need arise.
You must re-register for each week. Because we do not know the popularity of this event, we are asking you to make room for others to register for one experience each month before you register for more than one. If closer to the day, there are still empty spots, you are welcome to attend additional concerts that month.

While we cannot make music with our voices at this time, it is safe for us to make music with our hands on percussion instruments. Come and engage in the magic of a drum circle where common rhythm patterns done in a group setting stir the soul and create a beauty of harmony and rhythm. You can bring your own hand drum if you have one but we will have enough percussion instruments on hand for everyone to be able to play together. While most will be drums, some other percussion instruments will also be involved. This is a fun and nurturing experience for all ages.
To keep the gathering safe, the following protocols must be observed:
- Participants must be registered. No Drop ins
- Everyone must be masked throughout the session
- You must remain in your chair and not move about the room
- Instruments may not be shared or exchanged during the session. you can use a different on on subsequent weeks)
- You must re-register for each week. Space is limited so you may only be able to attend once a month if more than 25 are interested each month

Date: Wednesdays starting Sept 23
Time: 5:30pm – 6:15pm
Location: Cedar Hill X Site (3703 St. Aidan’s St)
This childrens’ choir will resume practices at the Cedar Hill site on Wednesday, September 23 @ 5 :30 pm for those families who are choosing the in person option (weekly or bi-weekly). Rehearsals last 45 minutes and children will be physically distant from each other. At that time, director Mary Kennedy will have registration forms and a calendar for the fall so parents know when the bi-weekly children come and when the choir tapings will be.
Those who wish to choose the online option should contact Mary Kennedy as soon as possible so that she can arrange a time that is mutually convenient for those children.
This is a free program offered by Broad View United and open to 15 children (meeting in person). No limit for those meeting online via ZOOM.
I am looking forward to meeting you all either in person or on ZOOM!
