Jim is excited about his new music role and reconnecting with the dynamic team of music leaders at Broad View United Church.
Music has been central to Jim’s life ever since he can remember. He is grateful for the music teaching and learning opportunities that have taken him around the world working with people of all ages. The last three decades, which have included teaching at Boston University, University of BC, and at Langley Fine Arts School, has deepened his conviction that singing as communication is an essential human experience.
Whether coaching young conductors, or leading singing in church, university and community settings (both young and young at heart!), Jim is an advocate for the transformative power of music to move, heal, inspire, and connect people.
Jim and Cheryl have a full and growing family life with six adult children and four grandchildren who bring joy, wonder, and hilarity to their lives.
