Janiena is Broad View United’s Community and Congregational Support Worker. She supports individuals and families by offering a welcoming first point of contact, helping people to community resources, and assisting with programs and gatherings that nurture belonging and wellbeing.
She brings a strong background in community outreach and relationship-building from her work at the University of Victoria, where she supported engagement for student programs and scholarships. She has also volunteered with the Victoria Pride Society, contributing to community events that celebrate inclusion, equity, and care. Janiena is passionate about creating spaces where people feel heard, supported, and truly welcome.
